Retire In ParadiseMy first visit to Phuket was over 25 years ago, since then I have called it home. After 22 years in the US Navy, I knew Phuket was where I wanted to go. We live on the northern end of Kata beach, Kata beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Phuket. Kata is located just south of Karon beach.

Many folks as me is it possible to retire in Phuket? The answer is yes. But how can I make a living? Making a living in Phuket is very easy to do, you can do this by working online, just like any start-up business it’s going to take a lot of work, but if you understand the basic mechanics of working online, you too can make a decent living just about anywhere, all you need is an Internet connection.

The Internet is a Goldmine, you just need to find the right niche, once you find this niche you can really profit on it. During the last few years in the US Navy before I retired I earned my Master degree in E-business, so I really got some good in-sight on what the Internet can do for you.

Just remember the tools are already in place, you just need to know how to use them. Many folks are stuck in the rat race of day to day life, an economy that is going into a deep recession, as I write this article the unemployment rate in the USA has just gone over 10%, millions of people are without jobs and the few jobs that are out there are very slim picking.

Kata Noi Beach Phuket Thailand

kata-noi-beach-phuket-300-200Kata Noi beach Phuket Thailand is one of Phuket’s most beautiful beaches, Kata Noi is located just south of Kata beach. The tropical beauty of this Phuket beach will take your breath away, Kata Noi is not that large compared to other Phuket beaches, and the only way to describe it, is the beach is just “right”.

I visit this beach several times a week, I live on the north end of Kata beach, so it’s just a few minutes’ drive away. I love this beach for several reasons; it’s a great place for body boarding, especially on the northern end, great location for that early morning walk or run, I love to run this beach in the early morning just prior to sunrise, this is by far the most peaceful time of the day before all the beach goers show up.

One of my favorite views is on the northern end from Mom Tri’s Villa Royale, one of the best places to enjoy an early morning coffee watching the beautiful surf. Beautiful Kata Beach Phuket

kata-beach-phuket-300-200Kata Beach Phuket Thailand is one of the most beautiful beaches in Phuket; the beach is located just south of beautiful Karon Beach, I took this video roughly around center beach, I have the whole beach location, so I will give you a nice tour of this wonderful Phuket beach.

I love everything about this beach and spend quite a bit of time at it, I live up on the northern end of the beach, if you love to walk, run and swim Kata beach is the place to go, and even during the high season you wont feel crowded, the beach is much more laid back than Patong and the scenery is very gorgeous.

I have two of my distance swim routes on this beach; the PU island swim and I also like to swim from the south and make my way to the north end, both swim routes really give you a good swim workout, just be careful on some of the rip currents you will see the flags on the beach, they are located near Club med Resort beach area, so just be cautious when swimming in that area.

One of my favorite past times is body boarding, the best location on Kata to enjoy this excellent activity is on the southern end of the beach, right around the Kata Beach resort. If you are looking for good waves, the best time of year is around July and August.

I have plenty of video of this beach, including a complete video tour I took walking the full lenght of the beach from north to south, of course, Not Discovery channel quality, but well worth the effort, for some reason I just can’t get enough of this beach, I guess that is why I retired here back in 2003.

Karon Beach Phuket Overlook

Karon Beach Phuket OverlookKaron Beach Phuket is one of the most pristine beaches in Phuket; the sheer beauty of this beach is simply amazing. One of the best features of this beautiful Phuket beach is how wide open it is and no matter whether its high or low season you will never feel crowded.

During the monsoon season the surf can get pretty rough, along with the currents so be careful during these periods.

If you like to walk the beach Karon beach is one of the best locations; one of the best times to go is during sunrise and sunset, so dont forget your camera.

I love this overlook of Karon beach, you can find this overlook on road 4233 going north heading toward Patong there are a few guest houses to stop at, you just have to look around a bit to find the best view.

I have many videos of Karon beach, so please stop by, hopefully I can give you a real in-sight of this beautiful Phuket beach.

Seaside Dining Bang Tao Beach Phuket

seaside-dining-bang-tao-300-200Bang Tao beach Phuket is an excellent location for some good seaside dining, you can find some of the best seafood and Thai restaurants right here, when you eat at one of these beach front restaurants they are considerably cheaper than dining in the main resort restaurants, and they are just a lot of fun to go to. Bang Tao Beach Phuket is one awesome beach and when you arrive you will know what I mean, the beach is huge and when you arrive, the view is one of the best in Phuket. If you dont know where Bang Tao beach is, the beach is located north of Surin beach, right behind this beach stands Laguna Phuket which has numerous 5 star resorts inside.

One of my all time favorite swim routes is located right here at Bang Tao, there is an entry point down on the south end and my exit point is about center beach; whole swim is about 2 kilometers and I try to come up here from my home in Kata beach to do this excellent swim.

When you arrive on the beach you will also notice plenty of seaside dining areas, take your pick, each one of them are nice to eat at and all of them have a great view of the beautiful Andaman Sea. I love to come up to Bang Tao and often just never seem to get enough of this location, its just soooo beautiful, so make sure you plan a few days at this wonderful beach; take pictures, dine at one of the many restaurants, enjoy the water, the place is incredible.
