One of the most stunning sites on Phuket is the Thai fishing boats, when you arrive to Rawai, you will be amazed at all the beautiful fishing boats anchored in the water, during sunrise the view could not be more pristine, be sure to bring your camera, you will get some excellent Rawai bay shots with the surrounding islands in the background, I believe if you kept at it you could probably get some lovely post card material camera shots here, it is that stunning.
Rawai Beach Phuket is located on the eastern side of Phuket Island, the eastern shore beaches are not the best to swim in, I often, about one times a week head down to Chalong pier and swim the length of the beach, the water is neat and I would recommend it to any beach goers.
You will find a great variety of seaside restaurants along Rawai, one of the best is located on the North finish of the beach; Nikitas which has been around a long time and the setting is the best in Rawai. So during your time in Phuket, take a ride down to Rawai, explore the lots of different restaurants, walk along the Chalong pier, you will truly enjoy this area of Phuket.
